The Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (commonly known as the Farm Bill) removed hemp from the government’s list of controlled substances. Hemp is defined as cannabis with less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight, officially distinguishing it from marijuana. All of our products comply with the Farm Bill, and are legally permitted to ship to most U.S. states.

The Farm Bill also has strict regulations on hemp cultivation, ensuring that licensed growers act according to state, tribal, or federal law. We rigorously test and monitor our cannabis products to meet these regulatory standards.

While hemp-derived products are federally legal, state laws vary. Some states have lighter regulations, while others impose additional restrictions or outright bans on certain cannabis products. We continually adapt to follow these state-specific laws.
SoFlo Farms uses hemp-derived cannabis.
All of SoFlo Farms's uses hemp-derived THCa. THCa is a non-psychoactive compound found in cannabis. In its natural state, it doesn’t produce the intoxicating effects commonly associated with Delta-9 THC. But when it’s smoked or heated, it converts directly to classic Delta-9 THC and produces a psychoactive high. THCa is part of the compliance test for hemp farmers and we ensure that the farmers who produce our hemp-derived THCa pass all required tests so that they can harvest their amazing flowers. Once harvested, hemp is lawful when its delta-9 THC does not exceed 0.3%, a standard to which we strictly adhere.

All of our hemp is sourced from small, American hemp farms. Our growers don’t use pesticides, and they have decades of experience cultivating cannabis plants. Growing consistently high-quality hemp requires skill, science, patience, and a whole lot of love. Our growers have proprietary varieties they’ve spent years developing — and you can see, smell, taste, and feel the difference.
